Terms of sale and use
These terms cover buying an Meow license on this website and using Meow. Please read them before you buy; clicking a buy button means you accept them and the license agreement.
1. Who we are
Meow is made and sold by [seller legal name — to be added], an individual trading as a sole trader in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”).
- Business address: [seller business address — to be added]
- Email: support@meow.torabit.ai
2. What you are buying
Meow is a Mac app (Windows in preview) that answers your WeChat while you're away: from your own account, through WeChat for Mac, it replies to one-to-one chats and to group messages meant for you, and signs every reply as AI.
Meow is a macOS desktop app. It needs a Mac with Apple silicon on macOS 14 or later, and WeChat for Mac 4.1.x in Simplified Chinese or English; the full list is in the requirements. Downloading it and using the dry run (reading chats and drafting replies without sending) are free and unlimited. What you buy is a license that lets Meow actually send replies while the license is valid.
AI model usage is not included. You use your own API key, pay the model provider you choose (for example DeepSeek or Anthropic), and follow its terms.
3. Ordering
The contract is formed when you complete payment on Stripe's checkout page and we show you your license key. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if you're in a region we don't sell to yet (currently the European Union), if the payment is declined or looks fraudulent, or if the law or our payment providers don't allow the transaction. If we cancel an order, we refund it in full.
Meow is sold to individuals aged 18 or over. You confirm you're able to enter into this contract.
4. Prices, tax and payment
- 30 days: CNY 29, up to 2 Macs, valid for 30 days.
- 365 days: CNY 199, up to 2 Macs, valid for 365 days.
- Lifetime: CNY 499, up to 3 Macs, no time limit, with every version released within 3 years of purchase.
Prices are in Chinese yuan (CNY) and are the total for a one-time payment. We are not VAT-registered and add no tax. Stripe processes payments by WeChat Pay, Alipay or card (UnionPay included). If Stripe's checkout shows the amount in your local currency, the amount at checkout is what you pay; any conversion fee is charged by the payment provider under its own rules.
5. Delivery
Once payment succeeds your license key appears on screen straight away and is emailed to the address you used at checkout as a backup. You download the app from our download page. Keep your key safe; if you lose it, recover it with your payment email on the license page.
6. No automatic renewal; renewing and upgrading
Every plan is a one-time payment. Nothing renews automatically and nothing is charged when a license ends. When it ends, Meow goes back to dry run and keeps your key. You can renew any time: the days are added to your current end date, or to the renewal date if the license has already ended. A 30-day or 365-day license can be upgraded to lifetime, keeping the same key. A lifetime license can't be extended with days.
7. Refunds and cancellation
You can have a full refund of any order, including a renewal or an upgrade, within 14 days of paying for it, no questions asked. See the refund policy.
If you're a consumer in the UK: the law gives you 14 days to cancel, but for digital content that right normally ends once supply starts with your agreement (for example when you download or activate). We give you more than that: you can still have a refund within 14 days even after downloading, activating or using Meow. Your other statutory rights, such as your rights if digital content isn't as described, are not affected.
8. The license and how you may use it
What the license covers, how many Macs, which updates and what is not allowed are set out in the license agreement, which forms part of these terms.
9. WeChat account risk
Meow operates WeChat for Mac through UI automation. WeChat's terms don't allow this, and WeChat may restrict or suspend your account. You confirm you have read our account safety page and accept this risk. We don't promise that an account won't be restricted, and, except where the law doesn't allow us to exclude it, we aren't liable for losses caused by a restriction. Meow is not affiliated with Tencent or WeChat.
10. You are responsible for what is sent
Replies are sent from your WeChat account, each with an AI signature, and the model can be wrong. Check the drafts in dry run before you turn sending on. You are responsible for what Meow sends for you. Use it only with your own WeChat account and never for bulk messaging, harassment, fraud or anything unlawful.
11. Availability and updates
After a WeChat update Meow may stop working until we release a version that handles it. We aim to do that but can't promise how quickly. A 30-day or 365-day license covers every version while it lasts; a lifetime license covers every version released within 3 years of purchase, and those versions keep working afterwards.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to exclude or limit, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer. If digital content we supply damages your device or other digital content because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or compensate you as the law requires.
Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for WeChat account restrictions, charges from model providers, the consequences of model output, or indirect losses such as lost profits or goodwill, and our total liability under this contract is limited to what you paid for Meow in the 12 months before the claim.
13. Problems and chargebacks
If something is wrong with an order, please write to us first and we'll sort it out. If you dispute a card payment with your bank, the license is suspended while the dispute is open. It's restored if the dispute is decided in our favour and revoked otherwise.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will show the version date on this page, with notice on the website before any significant change. A purchase you have already made stays under the terms that applied when you made it.
15. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you're a consumer, you keep any protection the law of the country where you live gives you that can't be excluded by agreement. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, but as a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts where you live.
16. Contact and language
Questions about these terms: support@meow.torabit.ai. These terms are published in Chinese and English; both versions have equal standing.
